Friday morning, Hornets Sports & Entertainment unveiled the renderings for the renovations that Spectrum Center will undergo over the next two years. To ensure that the renovations will be completed on time, Spectrum Center will be closed from May to September for the next two summers. All renovations are expected to be completed ahead of the 2025-26 NBA season.

Re!magine Spectrum Center touches nearly every aspect of the arena and allows us to remain the premier destination for sports and entertainment in the Carolinas, drawing more high-profile events and thus more patrons to Uptown Charlotte, positively benefitting nearby restaurants, bars, hotels and other local businesses.”
Chief Revenue Officer Jacob Gallagher did state there is expected to be an increase in ticket prices, anywhere from 10-20% based on location of seating.

Expanded Arena Bowl
The bowl arena will be adding 2,500 seats, moving them from the bottom of the NBA in lower level seating to the top ten. To make this happen, they will reconfigure the founders level. All seats will be replaced. One piece of feedback from the fans that will be implemented is better visibility into the bowl from the concourse level. You will be able to better see the action while not in your seat.

The arena will see a decrease in traditional suites going from 54 to 28, but this allows for diversified premium offerings for the fans. Spectrum Center will offer four options for suites.
28 standard suites (up to 24 guests)
4 party suites (up to 72 guests)
13 mini suites (up to 12 guests)
1 super suite (up to 76 guests – tickets sold in groups of 2, 4, 6)
1 theater box (up to 130 guests – tickets sold in groups of 2, 4, 6)
Widening of the concourses for better traffic flow
Impactful technology will be utilized to create more frictionless interactions that will improve the overall concession experience.
