CCSD BOE unanimously approves $25.7 million CSHS renovation project | CityNews

Renovations to Cedar Shoals High School are underway. The Clarke County Board of Education unanimously approved the CSHS renovation project cost breakdown of $25,733,322, which is more than double the previous estimate, at their monthly meeting on Thursday, Feb. 8.

CSHS can expect six renovated buildings — with work including but not limited to improvements in roofing, doors, windows, plumbing, electrical systems and fire protection — by Aug. 1, 2025, according to the Clarke County Board of Education. The project was previously estimated at $7,676,241.

The historic community center in northern Greenville County once served as the social focal point for the surrounding mill village.

But in the decades since its heyday, the building has fallen into disrepair, narrowly avoided destruction, and, for the past 14 years, operated on a limited basis.

Camp Nou renovation gets major boost

The time away from Camp Nou during renovation has undoubtedly had a huge impact on Barcelona. It would have been ideal for their path ahead in the UEFA Champions League. However, the Estadi Olimpic, which can accommodate 50,000+ spectators, looked like a perfect substitute.
